Soombit.ai’s AIRead-CXR, a chest X-ray preliminary report solution, has received Class 3 medical device approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Commissioner Oh Yu-kyung) announced that on April 1 it approved a digital medical device that assists radiologists in interpreting images by providing a preliminary report generated through analysis of chest X-ray images using generative artificial intelligence technology.
